I just asked the Lord i pray Jesus Christ for his blessings i needed something new i didn't want to sound like Miss Tony Bennett or Frank Sinatra or any of the rest because I remember in 1940. I could have sounded something like the day break another new day. you know but everyone was sounding like that right and so one day uh you know uh in 1952. uh I I just sang a song like Tony Bennett. because of you there's a song. in my heart. and all of a sudden it sounded. because of you my romance i said 'Gee what what what what do I have here?' And all of a sudden. I experimented with it. and uh it started to click and that's what happened it's your trademark. and it sold millions.
