If you don't want us to protest, then you should change something.

We are telling you that we will not give up and we will continue to fight for our future.

Some say that we should go back to school instead. But why should we be studying for a future that soon may be no more?

We are here to let you know that change is coming, whether you like it or not. The real power belongs to the people.

The older generation has failed. All the generations before us have failed. And we are the ones who are going to have to live with the consequences.

When we tell you to act, we don't mean that you should invite us to some panel to tell us how much you admire us. We are here to tell you that the world is waking up, and change is coming whether you like it or not.

We will not let them get away with it anymore.

My generation will not forget what you have done.

We are facing an unprecedented crisis, and our leaders are acting like children.

The climate crisis is already here, and we need to treat it like a crisis.

I have Asperger's, and that means I'm sometimes a bit different from the norm. And, I think, in many ways, that is a gift.

We are not asking for much. We are asking for you to listen to the science.

You say you hear us, and that you understand the urgency. But no matter how sad and angry I am, I do not want to believe that. Because if you really understood the situation and still kept on failing to act, then you would be evil. And that I refuse to believe.

We are going to make you accountable.

We are not in school today because we are fighting for our future.

The longer we wait, the more difficult it will be.

This is not a drill. This is happening.

We are just children, but we are powerful.

You are never too small to make a difference. If a few children can get headlines all over the world just by not going to school, imagine what we could all do together if we really wanted to.

We need to protect our future, and we are not going to stop until you do.
