When you are in a leadership position, you must be prepared to be hated. You must be prepared to be disliked. You must be prepared to be reviled. But you must never be prepared to be defeated.

I am not going to resign. I am not going to surrender. I am not going to give up. I am not going to betray my people.

We are not gays. We are not lesbians. We are not homosexuals. We are human beings.

I wish I could meet the Queen. She is a very beautiful lady.
